The first meeting of the season between the Warriors and Hawks produced 284 points and an overtime thriller, so it promises to be an entertaining game tonight as they meet up for the second time. Atlanta Hawks -2 (-110)
With just 12 games left, there’s very little time for defending champions the Golden State Warriors to turn around their road woes. They’re 7-27 SU heading into tonight’s game against Atlanta, that’s the 3rd-worst record in the NBA on the road this season. They’ve failed to cover the spread in 9 straight road games, there’s a possibility they might be without Stephen Curry tonight as he’s questionable with a thumb injury. Draymond Green is already out due to a suspension, while Andre Iguodala, Gary Payton II and Andrew Wiggins are all out with injuries or due to personal reasons. So, Atlanta should win this one fairly easily, right? All the numbers are pointing in their favor. They’re 4-1 ATS in their last 5 against Golden State at home, they’ve also beaten 10 of their last 14 Pacific Division opponents and are undefeated in their last 6 games played on a Friday. There are no injury concerns for new head coach Quin Snyder, so I’m expecting big things from the Hawks.

Trae Young 4+ made threes (+280)
Trae Young’s last 3 games against the Warriors have seen 28, 33 and 30 points scored and an average of 12.7 assists made. He’s also making 3.7 threes per game on 40.7% shooting. He just loves to compete against the best that is out there. Granted, the Warriors on the road and at home are two different teams this season, but I think Trae will be highly motivated to do well. His last 10 games have been immaculate apart from one poor performance at Miami. He’s averaging 28.7 points a night during that stretch and making 2.5 threes per game on over 40% efficiency. Golden State has been decimated by injuries and that’s one of the reasons why they allowed the Clippers to shoot 47.1% from downtown in their last game. Only the San Antonio Spurs are worse in road games when it comes to defending the perimeter and teams are making 40.8% of attempts against Golden State this season. Hopefully this isn’t a blowout and Young is able to capitalize on all those numbers.
