The Celtics have been dominant at home this season at 10-1, but surely they can’t keep blowing teams out on a nightly basis? The Heat have won their last 3 games, despite having a ton of injury issues. This team is showing a ton of resilience, tonight against the Celtics I’m expecting them to come out swinging. The last two meetings have been very close, with each team grabbing a win and the two games being decided by just 7 and 8 points. Over the last 10 meetings the Celtics are outscoring the Heat by just 6.6 points per game, so it promises to be a close outcome once again Miami has been able to cover the spread 4 times in their last 6 games overall, the oddsmakers have them as 8 point underdogs tonight. I still have the Celtics coming out on top, but without Jaylen Brown it could be tougher than it usually is.

Jayson Tatum to Score 35+ Points (+230)
Tatum is my MVP over the first month of the season. He’s averaging 30.2 points per game over his last 9 outings, and in 10 home games this season that jumps up to 32 points on over 50% shooting from the field. He has elevated his game in almost every facet this season, if the Cs remain as the number one seed at the end of the regular season he has the MVP award wrapped up. Jimmy Butler isn’t playing for Miami, that’s one elite defender less to worry about tonight. The fact that Brown isn’t playing also helps, there will be an extra 18 shot attempts up for grabs, I’m expecting Tatum to assert himself and go way over his 21.6 attempts per game. He’s cleared this line twice in the last 3 games, and the main reason why the Celtics are putting up historic offensive numbers as a team has been the play of Tatum. I’m counting on him to deliver here.

Kyle Lowry 2+ Made Threes (-270)
Lowry is at a very delicate point of his career – he no longer has the physical ability to hang around opposing point guards, instead he focuses on doing the dirty work down low and so far it’s worked this season. His three-point shooting is one thing that has remained constant, he’s making 2.6 threes per game for the month of November, up from 2.1 in October. His percentage has also gone up by almost 3%, while in the one game against Boston earlier this season he finished with 3 made threes on 7 attempts. Only 4 times over his last 14 games did he fail to score at least 2 threes, so I am really liking his chances tonight. Boston does a solid job at taking away the corner threes, but Lowry’s shots usually come from the middle of the floor. Boston ranks only 12th in the NBA in opposing three-point percentage allowing 35.1% of shots to be made, I think an experienced veteran like Lowry will figure out where to find his spots and hopefully drain at least 2 shots from deep here.
