Miami Heat 11+ win margin (+360)

The Suns enter tonight’s game in disarray following another loss on the road against the Cleveland Cavaliers. It was their 7th loss in 8 games, this might be the worst they’ve looked in the Chris Paul era and it’s concerning. They are only 8th in the West standings and with the news of Devin Booker missing at least a month with his groin injury, it’s hard to find any optimism if you’re a Suns fan. Cameron Payne and Cameron Johnson are both also out and they have scored just 88, 83, 104 and 102 points over their last 4 games. Tonight, they face a Miami Heat team that’s known for lockdown defense. Although the Heat lost their last game, they held the Lakers to just 112 points, a team that goes into the 120s and 130s on a regular basis. The Heat rank 8th in defensive efficiency and they’ve been on an upward trajectory for a while now, winning 8 of their last 12 games. They also have the advantage in head-to-head meetings, beating the Suns 14 times in the last 20 games and covering 12 times in their last 14 visits to Footprint Center. Phoenix doesn’t have much going for them, so I expect the Heat to put their clamps down and win this one by double digits.

Mikal Bridges to score 20+ points (+250)

Other than Deandre Ayton, Mikal Bridges might be the only reliable consistent scoring option the Suns have right now. He scored 15 points in the game against Miami earlier this season in 41 minutes played. The minutes should stay the same for tonight’s game, while the shot attempts should go up. Bridges has attempted at least 15 shots in 2 of his last 4 games, and just had a 21-point game at Toronto a couple of games ago. It’s hard to find any flaws in this Miami defense, but the points have to come from somewhere for Phoenix. Ayton will have a tough time battling with Adebayo down low, so the 3-point line might be the only way Bridges does some damage. The Heat have allowed opponents to shoot 38.5% from the perimeter in their last 3 games, that’s the 6th-worst mark in the NBA during that period. Bridges should take advantage of that.
