A sizable 9-game NBA slate on Sunday features a whopping 4 showdowns getting national television treatment. You know there isn’t football when that’s the case! There is a doubleheader on ABC in the afternoon before a doubleheader on ESPN headlines the night session. Prior to the Clippers visiting the Nuggets at 10:00 pm ET, this battle between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Golden State Warriors will tip off at 7:30 pm.

Golden State Warriors -9.5 alternate spread (+245)

Anthony Edwards over 3.5 made threes (+136)

Parlay odds: +845

Part of the value in Same Game Parlays, of course, is that all of its components can be correlated if you so choose. At the same time, plays that aren’t correlated drive up the overall payout of the parlay. That is the plan here, as backing Anthony Edwards to drain at least 4 three-pointers does not exactly work well with a big win for Golden State, but even if Edwards gets hot from deep there is no reason why the Warriors can’t take care of business.

Golden State Warriors -9.5 alternate spread (+245)

The Timberwolves came out of the All-Star break and promptly lost 121-113 at home to the lowly Hornets. Anthony Edwards scored 29 points, but he didn’t get much help from his teammates on the defensive end as the Hornets swept the regular-season series. The Warriors are 1-1 since the break, bouncing back from a tough one on the road against the Lakers to take care of the Rockets by 15 points on Friday. It was a performance to remember by Klay Thompson, who drained 12 threes on 17 attempts en route to 42 points. Golden State sank 26 threes as a team on 48% marksmanship from downtown. Minnesota ranks 22nd in the NBA in opponent 3-point percentage, so the home team should be able to stay hot.

The Warriors are 6-1 SU in their last 7 home games with an average margin of victory of 11.8 points in those wins. As for the Timberwolves, they have been losing by sizable margins on a relatively consistent basis in recent weeks and they are just 11-17 on the road this season, compared to 20-14 at home. I wouldn’t be surprised if Golden State gets the job done by double digits.

Anthony Edwards over 3.5 made threes (+136)

The Timberwolves are without Karl-Anthony Towns, Taurean Prince and Jaylen Nowell. That’s more than 38 points per game out the window. Edwards is trying to pick up the slack with 32, 34 and 29 points scored over the past 3 games. He has forked up 17 attempts from deep in the last 2 contests.

In 2 head-to-head matchups with Golden State this season, Edwards has also launched 17 trey-balls. The Warriors rank 23rd in the NBA in opponent 3-pointers made and over their last 3 games they are letting opponents shoot 43.6% from the land of plenty. Only 3 teams are worse during the same stretch. This is a great opportunity for Edwards to sink some threes and continue pouring in points.
