Julius Randle over 9.5 1st quarter points (-113)

Julius Randle has fond memories of playing the Kings recently. The last time he played at the Golden 1 Center he put up 46 points on 58% shooting while also draining 8 threes. In the game played earlier this season he put up 27 points in 27 minutes at Madison Square Garden, so he clearly likes playing them. Getting off to a good start will be crucial in a hostile environment at the Kings Arena. Randle is averaging 9.3 points per game in the first quarter this season, playing all 12 minutes more often than not. He has cleared this line in 7 of the last 9 games and one of the major reasons why the Knicks’ win streak came to an end on Tuesday was his performance, so I’m sure he will want to make amends. The Knicks are one of the most reliable teams on the road this year, and Randle’s contribution has been immense. With Sacramento allowing the 2nd-highest number of points per game from inside the paint (54.6) I think we’ll see Randle bully his way to the basket early in this one.

Domantas Sabonis over 11.5 rebounds (-104)

As bad as the Kings are in allowing opponents to score on the inside, they’re the complete opposite of that when it comes to opponent rebounds per game and the biggest reason for that is the play of Domantas Sabonis. Often called the most underrated rebounder in the NBA, he averages 13 per game in his last 10 appearances and is on a 7-game streak of double-digit rebounds. The Knicks have Mitchell Robinson back after injury, but they’re near the bottom of the NBA over the last 3 games, allowing 55.7 rebounds per game during that stretch. That’s music to the ears of Sabonis, who has had 15, 11, 8, 13 and 12 boards in his last 5 games against the Knicks. The Kings are expected to push the tempo, just like they did in their last game against New Orleans, and if that happens I fully expect Sabonis to get to his season average of 12.4 boards.

Thursday’s NBA mega parlay has +648 odds

Kevin Huerter over 2.5 made threes (-113)

Kevin Huerter has been heating up over the last 4 games, averaging 23 points per game in just 31.2 minutes, while shooting 63% from the field and a whopping 58.6% from 3-point land. He’s coming off back-to-back games with 6 threes made and that’s without De’Aaron Fox in the lineup, which makes his life a lot more difficult as he has to create his own shot instead of relying on Fox to make plays. New York’s 3-point defense has fallen off a bit in their last 3 games and they’re allowing 38.8% of makes compared to just 34.7% for the season. Huerter should be able to take advantage of that, he’s drained 2 threes in back-to-back games against the Knicks and with a fast-paced offense tonight he should be able to raise that to 3 threes.
