Show Bio

Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. The Philadelphia 76ers and the Boston Celtics are currently tied at 2-2 in their Eastern Conference semifinal series. Tonight the series shifts back to Boston for a crucial Game 5. Whoever comes out on top in this one will have their opponents on the ropes and on the brink of elimination. That could be particularly dangerous for the Celtics, with Game 6 due to be played in Philadelphia. You can check out our NBA picks for each of tonight’s games, but for now, let’s dive into my 76ers vs Celtics Same Game Parlay.

Joel Embiid to score 30+ points (+100)

De’Anthony Melton over 7.5 points (-104)

Al Horford 3+ made threes (+200)

Joel Embiid to score 30+ points (+100)

Reigning MVP Joel Embiid has been a force offensively over the last 2 games of this series. He has managed points totals of 30 and 34 points respectively and is likely to reach a similar total here. His size advantage over any of the Celtics’ frontline players should allow him to continue getting to the line. He has attempted at least 12 in 2 straight games and has shot at an 85.7% mark from the stripe against the Celtics. He is also making 62.5% of his shots within 5 feet of the rim. Embiid’s length advantage also allows him to effectively attack from the mid-range too, easily shooting over his matchup. The 76ers center should be free to utilize his size advantage once more and dominate the paint here. Look for that to convert into a high-scoring night.

De’Anthony Melton over 7.5 points (-104)

De’Anthony Melton has played a key role for the 76ers off the bench so far in these playoffs. He is making 46.2% of his 3-point attempts this postseason. That level of efficiency has earned him more time on the floor. He has been able to use that to score 8 or more points in 5 of his last 7 games. With Embiid drawing attention on the inside, it should help create space for Melton on the perimeter. He has made multiple 3-point shots in 6 of 8 postseason games and the same thing here would set him up perfectly to hit the over on this line. Coming off a poor performance in Game 4, the Celtics are likely to afford him more space. I expect Melton to punish them for it.  This line should be a good addition to our Same Game Parlay.

As well as backing this SGP, you can also bet this Melton player prop over at Caesars Sportsbook, which has an epic sign-up offer where you can get up to $1,250 back on your first bet. Click this link to join Caesars and also benefit from odds boosts every day.

Al Horford 3+ made threes (+200)

The presence of Embiid on the floor has turned Horford into a key floor spacer for the Celtics. In each of the last 3 games in which the reigning MVP has played, at least 80% of Horford’s shots have come from beyond the arc. He has hit the over on this line in 1 of the games against Embiid so far. Considering he has been a reliable 35.3% shooter from deep this postseason, he looks due to hit it once more. Going back to Boston should benefit him too. On his home floor during the regular season, he made a staggering 48.1% of his 3-point shots. That is opposed to 40.1% on the road. If he can get back to that level of shooting, this will look like a great value add.
