Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. The Brooklyn Nets are a much different team post trade deadline than the one we saw at the start of the NBA season. With both Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant gone, it will be interesting to see what the potential of this group is. The third piece of that big 3 was touted to be Ben Simmons, but he has had a horrible season. The Australian came off the bench in their last game, which means there is now a leadership void that someone needs to step up and fill. It will not be easy to figure out who can lead this ball club tonight as they are going up against a contender in the Philadelphia 76ers.

Check out the 76ers vs Nets Same Game Parlay I have put together for the game below. Be sure to take a look at the rest of our NBA picks, too.

Philadelphia 76ers -8.5 (+235)

The Brooklyn Nets should have real issues containing Joel Embiid tonight. With Nic Claxton in the middle, the 76ers superstar should be able to dominate proceedings. It should force the Nets wings to collapse into the paint, helping open up opportunities for the likes of James Harden. The host have seen major changes to their roster. While their new additions from the Kevin Durant trade could be available tonight, it will take time for the team to gel. The 76ers will certainly be a tough first opponent for that to happen against. They have won 7 of their last 10 games and have a winning road record this season. They are 6th in offensive rating over that stretch. A disjointed Nets team will struggle matching this.

Over 228.5 (+154)

This Nets team is now designed perfectly to get out and attack in transition. The team is already 12th in the league in pace over the last 10 games. Considering that Embiid will occupy the paint when the 76ers set their half court defense, the Nets should make it a point of emphasis to attack in transition tonight. With the more possessions a higher pace creates, the 76ers should be able to capitalize and put up more points themselves. After all, they are 5th in the league in true shooting percentage during that stretch. The visitors have scored 119 or more in 2 of their last 4 contests and it would not be a surprise to see them surpass the 120-point mark tonight. Look for this to turn into a high scoring game as a result.
