With the Super Bowl taking center stage on Sunday, we’ve got a ton of NBA action on Saturday to wager on. The highlight is in the Bay Area, where the Lakers will take on the Warriors in a primetime matchup on ABC. We’ll be focusing on that game in this mega parlay, as well as another two matchups that should feature plenty of excitement.

Cleveland Cavaliers -5 (-110) over Chicago Bulls
The trade deadline came and went, and the Chicago Bulls stood pat, which was puzzling to me. After all, this team is fading fast and should be seeking to get the most value for Nikola Vucevic or Zach LaVine. Things won’t get any easier for Chicago with the Cavaliers coming to town on Saturday. The Cavs are fresh off a win over the Pistons and now get to face a Bulls team that already struggles on the road. Even though this will be the second leg of a back-to-back for Cleveland, the Cavs’ top-10 offense and one of the league’s best defenses should be able to bounce back at home. I’ll lay the short number with a Cavaliers side that is already one of the best home teams in the association and should have the clear talent and motivation edge.

Denver Nuggets -9.5 (-110) over Charlotte Hornets
I’ve typically stuck to targeting the Nuggets at home this season, but this is a rare road spot where I’m eager to back Denver. The Nuggets are getting another incredible season from Nikola Jokic and the pieces around him (Jamal Murray, Michael Porter Jr.) have been clicking on all cylinders for most of the campaign. However, Denver just lost to the Magic in Orlando, which is an atypical result and now puts the Nuggets in a position for a bounce-back spot. Thanks in large part to Jokic’s gravity and efficiency, Denver has one of the best offenses in basketball, and the Nuggets should feast on a porous Hornets defense who will be playing their second game of a back-to-back. Denver’s last 3 victories have come by double digits, so I’ll shoot for a similar result in what should be a smash spot against an awful Charlotte team.
Los Angeles Lakers vs Golden State Warriors over 238 (-110)
The Warriors have been massively inconsistent all season, especially without Steph Curry in the lineup. Golden State has struggled to consistently string together wins this season, a lot of which falls on the backs of its defense. The Warriors are just 18th in defensive rating on the season, which doesn’t bode well against a new-look Lakers offense that has now surrounded a red-hot LeBron James with 3-point shooters on the wings. On the other side, the Lakers are not exactly a defensive juggernaut either. Los Angeles is 21st in defensive rating and this is a team that will consistently take possessions off, especially early in games. The Lakers have given up 120+ points in 5 of their last 7 outings, and I expect Golden State’s offense to show out at the Chase Center. Back the over with confidence, as we should see fireworks in this one.
