NBA Prop Bets Today: Alex Caruso and De'Aaron Fox amongst best NBA Player Props for Thursday

Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. The San Antonio Spurs find themselves with their back against the wall tonight as a loss would send them crashing out of the playoffs. Luckily for them, they will have their home fans rallying them on. With the NBA Finals potentially looming, the Oklahoma City Thunder will be keen to put the series to bed tonight and avoid the physical strain that a Game 7 might put on them.

As always, you can find our NBA Playoff previews here. But first check out my favorite player props for Game 6 between the Spurs and the Thunder.

Alex Caruso (OKC) over 1.5 made threes (-125)

Thunder guard Alex Caruso has been an incredible weapon from deep for the team during these Conference Finals. He is currently averaging 3.6 3-pointers per game against the Spurs and is doing so on 58.1% shooting. It has allowed him to hit the over on this line in 4 of the 5 games so far. Game 4, was the only game he failed to do so having not attempted a single shot from beyond the arc. Do not expect a repeat of that any time soon. During the regular season he was just a 29.8% shooter from 3-point range and the Spurs would expect he returns to that mark eventually so are likely to continue giving him looks rather than to some of the more established shooters on the Thunders roster. In current form, I expect Caruso to continue punishing them.

De’Aaron Fox (SA) over 9.5 assists & rebounds (-135)

Sometimes if something is not broke there is no need to fix it. I picked De’Aaron Fox to hit the over on this line in Game 4 and he delivered exactly that. Over his last 4 appearances overall he has recorded totals of 13, 13, 15 and 12 in these combined categories. Over the last 2 games he has just 1 total turnover so expect the hosts to lean on his veteran experience and  have him continue as the teams lead playmaker which should help ensure the assists do not dry up here. The Spurs are the 3rd  best team in the league in opponent 3-point percentage and forcing those misses should help ensure there are long rebounds for Fox to chase down. He should stuff the stat sheet once more tonight.
