Indiana Pacers ML (+215)

Philadelphia has been on a really good streak lately, but they’re playing on a 2nd night of a back-to-back here which could result in a couple of big name players getting rested for the night. We’re deep into March and risking injuries to Embiid or Harden doesn’t really make sense at this point, so I think the Sixers will be shorthanded here. Indiana is also shorthanded without Tyrese Haliburton, but they’ve actually played well in their last game, dominating the Bucks on the road while scoring 22 threes in a convincing 16 point win.

The win keeps them in the running for the 10th spot in the East as the Bulls are just 0.5 games ahead. The Pacers are 6.5 point underdogs here despite covering the spread 7 times in their last 8 games vs Philly. The last 2 meetings between the two teams were decided by just 3 and 4 points, and with Philly playing on a 2nd night of a back-to-back and the Pacers winning 3 of 4 games, I feel like an upset isn’t out of the question here.

Sacramento Kings -2.5 (-108)

The Kings are slowly but surely turning into the best feel-good story of the NBA season. With their latest win in Brooklyn, they secured a winning record for the first time since the 2005-06 NBA season, coincidentally the last time they made the playoffs. De’Aaron Fox’s heroics in the clutch have basically secured him a spot in one of the All-NBA teams this year, and his team has the best record since the All-Star break at 10-2 SU. All season long, they’ve been one of the most consistent road teams in the NBA winning 21 of 34 games, they’ll be looking to avenge a 14-point loss against the Wizards tonight. Washington just got beat badly at Cleveland 117-94, so they’ll be playing on a 2nd night of a back-to-back here which isn’t ideal. They’ve got just 1 win in 4 games, losing twice to Atlanta during that stretch. You’ll have a hard time finding any stat that favors the Wizards in this matchup, as Sacramento is 5-2 SU/ATS in their last 7 meetings. I think they improve on those numbers tonight.

Miami Heat -3.5 (-112)

And finally we have the Miami Heat finally beating the Chicago Bulls. With 3 wins in their last 4 games, the Heat head into tonight’s game in solid form. With just 1.5 games separating the Brooklyn Nets and Miami for the 6th seed, it would be wise for the Heat to continue winning if they want to avoid the play-in tournament. The Heat are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 visits to United Center and they’ve also won 14 of the last 19 meetings. Chicago is coming off an epic double-overtime home win over Minnesota 139-131, with their duo DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine scoring 49 and 39 points respectively.

It is worrisome that DeRozan, LaVine and Vucevic played 52, 47 and 46 minutes, against a physical team like Miami that could be problematic. Miami has the rest advantage given that the Bulls played last night, and I find it hard to believe Jimmy Butler would allow his former team to beat them in all 3 meetings this season. Take Miami on the road.
