We are tipping off the weekend in the NBA with an intriguing 9-game slate on Saturday. It is headlined by a showdown between the Golden State Warriors and Dallas Mavericks at 8:00 pm ET on ABC. The Nets, Suns, Clippers, Heat, Bucks, Lakers and Nuggets are also taking the court.

Here is a look at Saturday’s mega parlay.

Clippers -3.5 (-110)

Lakers -1 (-110)

Trail Blazers ML (+160)

Parlay odds: +848

For this parlay we are going with 2 favorites against the spread and 1 underdog on the money line. Let’s break down each of the 3 legs.

Los Angeles Clippers -3.5 over New York Knicks (-110)

The Knicks were hot earlier in the 2022-23 campaign, but they have cooled off. They have slumped to a 3-6 record in their last 9 overall, with 3 of those losses coming inside Madison Square Garden – against unspectacular competition, too. Jalen Brunson missed the last game due to illness and is questionable for Saturday, so things may get worse before they get better. The story is a different one for the Clippers. Los Angeles is 6-2 SU in its last 8, with 5 of those victories coming away from home. Kawhi Leonard is healthy and playing well, with 32 points against Atlanta and 33 against Chicago (both wins) before delivering a double-double in the form of 17 points and 11 boards during a hard-fought 106-105 loss at Milwaukee on Thursday. I’m counting on LA to win and cover.

Los Angeles Lakers -1 over New Orleans Pelicans (-110)

The Lakers won the previous head-to-head meeting this season, 120-117 in overtime at home. Both Anthony Davis and LeBron James scored a modest 20 points each in that contest and Los Angeles still took care of business. You have to think they will deliver more than that tonight – especially LeBron, who is just 63 points away from breaking the NBA all-time scoring record. Now they face a New Orleans team that is ice cold. The Pelicans were once 26-17 but now find themselves under .500 at 26-27. Yes, this team is on a ridiculous 10-game losing streak. Brandon Ingram is back from injury but has not yet rounded into typical form. Zion Williamson remains out due to a hamstring issue. Look for the Pels’ woes to continue.

Portland Trail Blazers ML over Chicago Bulls (+160)

The Trail Blazers are playing the second leg of a back-to-back situation, but they should be happy to get right back in action following last night’s performance. Portland took care of a red-hot Washington team 124-116 and it was an all-around effort by the full squad; it wasn’t just Damian Lillard. Anfernee Simons led the way with 33 points, while Lillard added 29. Next up for the Blazers is a matchup they have won 9 of the last 11 times. The Bulls own the rest advantage having not played since Thursday, but that is just about where the good news ends for the home team. It has been a big disappointment so far this season, just barely clinging to a play-in tournament spot in the Eastern Conference. Injuries have been a problem and both Nikola Vucevic and Alex Caruso are questionable on Saturday. Don’t be surprised if Portland prevails outright.
