Under 237 points in Kings vs Warriors (-108)

The Kings and Warriors were both top-10 teams in terms of offensive rating during the regular season and were both 14th or worse in defensive rating. Therefore, this series was slated to be an offensive clinic, but it has been the complete opposite and the last 2 games have gone under the total by an average of 24.5 points. I believe the series will continue to trend in the direction of lower-scoring affairs, especially if the Kings continue their 3-point shooting woes. After shooting 37.5% from downtown in Game 1, Sacramento followed up with games of 23.7% and 23.4%. They aren’t shying away from their approach either as their attempts increased from 32 to 38 to 47 in Game 3. The Kings may have been the most efficient team on offense during the regular season, but the playoffs are another animal. Look for the Warriors to put the clamps on the Kings defensively.

Boston Celtics 1-10 win margin (+170)

The Celtics defense looked uninterested for large portions of Game 3 against the Hawks, allowing 74 points in the first half, which is something we don’t see often. I think that was a good wake-up call for them, and they’ll want to avoid giving the Hawks even more life in this series. The Celtics actually played a really solid game offensively, knocking down 21 threes and dishing out 31 assists. If they can clean up their rebounding and defending, they’ll be in a good position. It’s about time they showed us why they’re one of the frontrunners to win the title. Atlanta is still under a lot of pressure as going down 3-1 before the series shifts back to Boston would basically mean they’re done for the year. At 24-17 SU at State Farm Arena they’ve been solid all year, so I do expect them to keep this game close. In the end though, Boston just has more quality and I expect the Celtics to pull this one out.

Minnesota Timberwolves ML (+136)

Anthony Edwards sure did sound confident in his post-game presser for someone whose team had just gone down 3-0 in the series. Ant-Man put on another show with 36 points and 7 rebounds, while Karl-Anthony Towns added 27, but the Timberwolves just couldn’t match the ball movement and rebounding of Denver. The absence of Naz Reid and Jaden McDaniels is proving to be too big for this team, and with them in the lineup I feel like they could have at least won a couple of games in this series. With them now facing elimination I’m interested to see how they respond. Nobody wants a sweep on their résumé, so I think we’ll see a maximum effort by the Timberwolves’ players in this game. Denver has won by 29, 9 and 9 points in the 3 games so far, covering the spread each time. Minnesota did finish the regular season with a winning home record, so maybe the T-Wolves can give their fans something to cheer about here, similar to what Atlanta did in Game 3 against Boston. I’ll take the Timberwolves to get a consolation win in tonight’s game.
