Week 18 of the 2025 NFL regular season is on the immediate horizon. That’s right; we have reached the finish line – or 18 teams have reached it, to be exact. Fourteen will be gearing up for the playoffs following the end of competition on Sunday. There are 3 winner-take-all showdowns, with the victor clinching the division and the loser missing the playoffs. That is the scenario for Panthers vs Buccaneers (unless the Falcons win out, in which case Carolina wins the NFC South regardless), Seahawks vs 49ers and Ravens vs Steelers.

Best bet for NFL Week 18: Kansas City Chiefs -5.5 over Las Vegas Raiders (-110)
Even against a team playing as poorly as Kansas City is right now, Las Vegas is pretty much an automatic fade. When the Raiders are getting less than a touchdown, it’s a can’t-miss opportunity – regardless of the opponent. Head coach Pete Carroll’s squad was horrendous even when it was trying to win. Now it’s making no secret about its disinterest – and perhaps even its desire to lose. In Week 17 the Raiders faced the Giants in what was effectively a battle for the #1 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Having already shut down their 2 best players – DE Maxx Crosby and TE Brock Bowers – for the season, Las Vegas unsurprisingly got clobbered 34-10. That’s right; it lost to the other worst team in football by 24 points.
The Chiefs may be wrapping up a disastrous 2025 campaign, but at least you can count on it playing hard through the finish line. Head coach Andy Reid’s club lost to Denver by just 7 points on Christmas in a game that was competitive from start to finish. The offense is terrible with Patrick Mahomes out, but it doesn’t have to be very good to comfortably beat Las Vegas. Moreover, the Chiefs are essentially playing on a mini-bye. Give Reid extra preparation time – even for a meaningless game – and good things usually happen.
We’ll have NFL picks for every game in Week 18!
