The first primetime game of the 2023 NFL season did not disappoint, as the Detroit Lions went into Kansas City and took down the defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs on Thursday Night Football. Now it’s time to look ahead toward Sunday Night Football, which features the NFC East rival Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants. That’s right; we are wasting no time jumping right into a battle for division supremacy in Week 1.

Here is my Same Game Parlay for the festivities, which kick off at 8:20 pm ET on NBC. Also be sure to check out our full Cowboys vs Giants predictions.

Cowboys -5.5 alternate spread (+118)

CeeDee Lamb to score a touchdown (+135)

Daniel Jones over 207.5 passing yards (-114)

Parlay odds: +689

One of the benefits of Same Game Parlays, of course, is that you can correlate the plays. That is some of the plan here, as CeeDee Lamb scoring a touchdown would obviously work well with a convincing win by the Cowboys. At the same time, plays that aren’t correlated drive up the overall payout of the parlay. That is the case with backing Daniel Jones to throw for his fair share of yards, but even if he does there is no reason why Dallas can’t take care of business. Let’s break down each of the legs.

You can bet on this Same Game Parlay at FanDuel, America’s #1 sportsbook, which has a great new customer offer where you can bet $5 and receive $200 in bonus bets plus $100 off NFL Sunday Ticket! Click here to take advantage of this awesome offer.

Cowboys -5.5 alternate spread (+118)

The Cowboys come into the 2023 campaign with a big chip on their shoulder following another playoff disappointment in 2022. They rarely have any trouble doing well in the regular season, however, and I expect them to get off to a strong start this time. QB Dak Prescott generally plays better at the start of seasons when he is healthy and he should be able to do some damage at the expense of New York’s secondary. Lamb will help in that effort, while Tony Pollard is likely going to have a huge year as RB1. Despite their relative success last season, the Giants remain a young football team and may not be a well-oiled machine in the early stages of 2023. I think the ‘Boys can win this by at least a touchdown.

CeeDee Lamb to score a touchdown (+135)

In 3 NFL seasons, CeeDee Lamb has upped his receiving touchdowns totals from 5 to 6 to 9. He scored 7 TDs in the last 10 games of the 2022 regular season and then found paydirt again during a wild-card victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Although he didn’t score when Dallas was eliminated by the San Francisco 49ers, the former Oklahoma standout caught 10 of 13 targets for 117 yards. Lamb ended the season on fire and I expect it to carry over into 2023.

Daniel Jones Over 207.5 passing yards (-114)

Backing Daniel Jones to throw for a decent amount of yards doesn’t actually go against a pick of Dallas to win and cover. After all, if the Giants are playing from behind it means they will be more likely to air it out to try to extend the game. When New York visited Dallas in 2022, Jones completed 16 of 21 passes for 228 yards. It’s also worth noting that he torched the Minnesota Vikings to the tune of 334 yards in the penultimate game of the season. If tight end Darren Waller (questionable) can go, that would be an additional boost for Jones.
