NFL Week 5 same game parlay (+961 odds): Cleveland Browns vs Los Angeles Chargers

Nick Chubb Browns

When the Cleveland Browns and Los Angeles Chargers meet Sunday at 4:05pm ET on CBS we’ll be watching 2 dark horses for the AFC title this season. Both are long odds to go to the Super Bowl but both teams can hang with the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills. In my opinion, this is the marquee game of the late slate. No matter what I think, one thing that will make it better is getting some action on it. It works 100% of the time for every game. Here is a little same game parlay to push us in the right direction.

Nick Chubb 2+ touchdowns (+550)

Kareem Hunt over 45.5 rushing yards (-106)

Parlay odds: +961

Nick Chubb 2+ touchdowns (+550)

The Los Angeles Chargers can’t stop the run. That’s a scientific fact. There are only 7 teams in the entire NFL that are worse against the run (DVOA). The problem for them this week is they are playing the Cleveland Browns. That is a big problem. On the season only one team in the NFL has been better running the ball (DVOA) and that’s the Dallas Cowboys. The same Cowboys that beat this same Chargers team a couple weeks ago. Given that Baker Mayfield is playing with a torn labrum, the Browns are going to keep pounding the ball. Only 2 players in the NFL have more red zone carries this season than Nick Chubb. If and when the Browns get near the goal line, he’s getting a chance. Against the Chargers, he should be able to make good on those chances.

Kareem Hunt over 45.5 rushing yards (-106)

I will keep this one short because the reason I like this is the same reason I like Chubb’s touchdown prop. Hunt is one of the best running backs in the NFL but he just happens to be on the team that has the best running back in the NFL. The Cleveland Browns. It happens. Still, he’s hit this number in each of his last 3 games and every time he’s seen at least 10 carries. This one is easy.
