Detroit Red Wings ML (+150) over Colorado Avalanche

As mentioned, we’re not wasting any time having action on the huge day ahead. Before we dive in, let’s make one thing clear: the Colorado Avalanche are the overall better team in this matchup. However, they can be had, and have been much more inconsistent this season. For example, they began this month allowing 7 goals in back-to-back games and losing 3 straight.

Within the past week, they’ve needed overtime to beat the Arizona Coyotes, a shootout on Wednesday and snuck by the Ottawa Senators just 2 nights ago. Detroit has been off since Tuesday night, and although they fell to the Nashville Predators, they allowed just 2 goals. Better yet, they defeated the Boston Bruins – the NHL’s best team – on Sunday afternoon. That was the 2nd leg of a back-to-back, and they still put up 5 goals on the best goaltending team in the league. Colorado will be the ones heading to the postseason, but the Wings can still pull off this upset at home.

New Jersey Devils 3-way ML (+155) over Florida Panthers

Our 2nd leg features another team sporting red. If you were to force us to pick our most confident pick within our NHL mega parlay, this would be it. So, consider taking the Devils on the regular money line as a single play. This is going to be an angry New Jersey squad that just lost back-to-back games to the Tampa Bay Lightning. Despite that, they’re still within striking distance of the Carolina Hurricanes for the Metro Division lead. They also have to face the Lightning again on Sunday, so they’ll be looking to get hot down in South Beach.

Florida is coming off a ridiculous win in which they scored 9 goals. Firstly, that was against a bad Montreal Canadiens team. On top of that, the Panthers still gave up 5 goals in that win. The Panthers can’t bank on simply scoring nearly double digits to win against the Devils; New Jersey is allowing the 4th-fewest goals per game this season. On the flip side, Florida has allowed the 10th-most goals per game this year. The Devils went down to South Beach earlier this year and beat the Panthers by multiple goals; we only need them to win in regulation this time around.

Dallas Stars ML (+100) over Calgary Flames

We have an early play, a play in the evening and now a late-night play. The Stars are coming off a loss to the Edmonton Oilers, but that’s nothing to be ashamed of when facing Connor McDavid and the highest-scoring team in the NHL. The Flames got hot against the Vegas Golden Knights in their most recent outing, but they’ve been the definition of inconsistent this season. That’s clearly demonstrated with the fact that they’re like going to miss the postseason after winning the Pacific Division last year.

To further illustrate that, their game prior to Vegas was a loss to a bad Arizona Coyotes team. If that wasn’t enough, they also lost to the Anaheim Ducks just 8 days ago. They scored just 1 goal in that matchup. The Ducks allow the most goals per game, and now the Flames have to face a Stars team that allows the 5th-fewest. Both games between these teams this season have been close 1-goal games, but we see the Stars continuing their quest to win the Central Division tonight.
