I've been a capper since my love for sports met my proficiency with numbers and math. The NFL and NCAAF have always been my first loves, followed by the NHL. Although I prefer sports that involve hitting people, I still love capping MLB, soccer, tennis, and even some esports. Living in Florida has its perks like year-round sports of any kind. Talk about options. We have an incredible Thursday night of NHL action with 12 games on the ice. With that in mind, it’s only appropriate to piece together our favorite plays for a mega payout. Our goal is to hit tonight’s NHL mega parlay to then cover your bets for the exciting weekend to come. We’re somehow getting plus-money on the best team in hockey and additional great value out west. There’s a lot to break down, so let’s get into it.

Along with our NHL mega parlay, be sure to check out all of our NHL picks for today’s action.

You can bet on this NHL mega parlay at FanDuel Sportsbook, which has a great new customer offer where you can bet $5 and immediately get $150 in bonus bets! Click here to take advantage of this incredible offer.

Boston Bruins -1.5 (+105) over Seattle Kraken

As mentioned, we are somehow getting plus-money with the best team in hockey. Not only are the Bruins absolutely dominant, but they have also been even more incredible at home. Tonight they are back at TD Garden, where they are a ridiculous 19-0-3. That actually seems like a typo, but they truly have been that strong on home ice. Still, they are coming back from being cross-country, where they won their last 3 games by scores of 7-1, 4-2 and 5-2.

The bottom line is that the Bruins are not just beating teams; they are doing so convincingly. David Pastrnak has been an absolute sniper this season, and his 32 goals are 2nd to only the great Connor McDavid. As they are in different conferences, they don’t play the Kraken often; this will be their first meeting this season. Seattle is likely riding high with its current win streak but hasn’t faced a team like the Bruins. Frankly, there is no team comparable to Boston right now. That should be proven tonight.

Ottawa Senators -1.5 (+170) over Arizona Coyotes

I’m backing another puck line for the 2nd play, but now we’re out west. The Senators may not be on par with the Bruins, but they can certainly handle the Coyotes. Ottawa’s overall record is nothing to write home about, but it has been much better since the short Christmas break. Ironically enough, the Sens actually handed the Bruins one of their few losses in the first game back after the break.

Their stock isn’t quite as high as it should be right now following back-to-back losses, but Arizona is a team that can allow them to get back on track. The Coyotes have allowed 4 goals per game since that aforementioned holiday break, which Brady Tkachuk and the Senators can certainly take advantage of. Much like the Bruins vs Kraken, these teams don’t meet often. However, they have already faced off this season, and Ottawa came away with a smooth 6-2 victory. We’re not asking for another 4-goal victory tonight, but they can probably notch a 2-goal win out in the desert.

Vegas Golden Knights ML (-130) over Florida Panthers

Rounding things out is another game out west, but I’m only asking for a win in any fashion. If you are really feeling the luck in Vegas, taking the Golden Knights on the 3-way money line makes our NHL mega parlay around +1200. Regardless, we’re still getting a great payout by  just backing the home team to win in this one. Again, we’re getting some solid value here after the Knights just had a dud in their most recent performance.

However, Jack Eichel had just returned and there should be confidence in him finding his groove again. Similarly, the Panthers are being a bit overvalued after their recent win over the Colorado Avalanche. They aren’t looking nearly as strong as last season, struggling to maintain a .500 record. Meanwhile, the Knights are trying to remain as the best team in the Western Conference. Vegas should be a more significant favorite on home ice, so I’ll take the value while it’s available.

Thursday’s NHL mega parlay (1/12)

Bruins -1.5 (+105)

Senators -1.5 (+170)

Golden Knights ML (-130)

Parlay odds +879
