It’s March, which means it’s the best time of year for college basketball – March Madness. It also means that online sports betting has been legalized in North Carolina, with a full launch at every major sportsbook on March 11.

Although football season may be over, there are plenty of options with which to begin your betting experience in North Carolina. You can’t find a more intriguing state when it comes to college basketball, with the North Carolina Tar Heels and Duke Blue Devils leading the way. In the NHL, the Carolina Hurricanes are Stanley Cup contenders. You also have the Charlotte Hornets roaming the NBA hardwood.

On Wednesday the Hornets are in action along with Wake Forest and N.C. State playing in the ACC Tournament. Let’s take a look at my 3-team North Carolina-based parlay.

If you want to get in the game now and wager on any North Carolina-based team (or on any other available markets), here are some of the best sportsbooks at which to do so – and their accompanying NC launch offers:

Now let’s dive into my NC parlay for Wednesday’s sports schedule.

Hornets over Grizzlies -1.5 (-108)

Notre Dame +9.5 over Wake Forest (-108)

N.C. State ML over Syracuse (+102)

NC parlay odds: +649

Charlotte Hornets -1.5 over Memphis Grizzlies (-108)

The Grizzlies are playing the second leg of a back-to-back situation and I can’t see it going well. It’s true that Memphis took care of Washington on Tuesday, but the Wizards stink. The last time these Grizz played he second game of a back-to-back they lost to the lowly Trail Blazers. Charlotte certainly isn’t anything special, but Miles Bridges has scored 32, 24 and 24 points in the last three games. He can lead the Hornets to a win and cover against Memphis.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish +9.5 over Wake Forest Demon Deacons (-108)

Second-round action in the ACC Tournament takes place on Wednesday, when Notre Dame will look to build on momentum from an opening victory at the expense of Georgia Tech. Keep in mind that this was a Georgia Tech team that just beat Wake Forest on the road last week. Moreover, the Demon Deacons lost their only regular-season meeting with Notre Dame via a 70-65 decision. Yes, the Deacs are a better team and should win — but asking them to prevail by double-digits is too much.

N.C. State Wolfpack ML over Syracuse Orange (+102)

Head-to-head history also isn’t on N.C. State’s side heading into Wednesday’s competition at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. The Wolfpack have lost to Syracuse twice already this season. However, it’s not easy to beat the same team three straight times — especially when you are not a very good team like ‘Cuse. The Orange are reeling from a 90-75 setback against Clemson last Tuesday that has probably forced them to wake a real run in the ACC Tournament to earn a spot in the Big Dance. The ‘Pack pinned 94 points on Louisville in the first round and I think they can keep it going.
