Edmonton Oilers ML over Vancouver Canucks (-142)

When it comes to momentum, there’s no doubt it’s the Oilers that come into tonight’s Game 7 with it. Their 5-1 crushing win in Game 6 broke the streak of 1-goal games for the Canucks and should provide supreme confidence to finally get over the hump. It’s what Edmonton fans have been waiting for since drafting Connor McDavid, who many feel should have a Stanley Cup under his belt by now. Regardless, along with teammates Leon Draisaitl reaching 100 postseason points and Zach Hyman leading the way with 10 goals in these playoffs, the Oilers have what it takes to get through their division rival.

Oddsmakers seem to feel the same, as they’ve made Edmonton the clear favorites, even on the road in a Game 7. You’ll likely see that Vancouver beat the Oilers all 4 times in the regular season, but as the Stanley Cup playoffs always prove, the postseason is simply a different beast. This is where McDavid and company can get their revenge, making the first of our Oilers vs Canucks Same Game Parlay picks to be on Edmonton on the money line.

Over 6 goals (+105)

Speaking of the regular season matchups between these division rivals, there is a trend that we are going to lean into. That would be high-scoring games, as 3 of their 4 meetings had 7 or more goals scored. Along with what we mentioned about Draisaitl and Hyman, we expect more fireworks tonight. After all, the Oilers nearly went over the total themselves in Game 6.

Admittedly, the Canucks’ issue throughout the postseason thus far has been their ability to put pressure on the opposing goaltenders, as they haven’t been able to rack up large numbers of shots on goal. However, they’ve proven that they can do their part against Edmonton, as each of the first 3 games of this series had 7 or more goals scored. The first 2 were also in Vancouver, which is where tonight’s Game 7 will be.

Quinn Hughes to record an assist (-130)

Although we’re backing Edmonton to advance to the Western Conference Finals, we’re taking a player prop targeting a skater on Vancouver to close out our Oilers vs Canucks Same Game Parlay picks. That would be Quinn Hughes, who has proven to be one of the most consistent defensemen in the NHL. Not only did he record 92 points this season, but 75 of them were assists, the 4th-most in the league.

Plenty of those helpers also came against Edmonton, which provides even more confidence with his team against the ropes. In 4 games against the Oilers this year, he recorded 8 total points, 7 of which were assists. In fact, in the 2 home games against them, he racked up 3 assists in both! Getting such reasonable odds on him recording just 1 tonight provides great value to wrap up our Oilers vs Canucks Same Game Parlay picks.
