Dallas Stars ML over Edmonton Oilers (-134)

As mentioned, the Oilers were able to avoid going down 3-1 and put themselves on the brink of elimination tonight. However, it certainly didn’t look like they would be able to pull off that win after going down 2-0 within the first 6 minutes of the game. Of course, they rattled off 5 straight goals to win the matchup 5-2.

If that sequence sounds familiar, that’s because it’s exactly what Dallas did to Edmonton in the game prior. After the Stars fell behind 2-0 in the first period, they came back to win 5-3 in Game 3. With how much things have flip-flopped in this series, it’s only fitting that the Stars take tonight’s Game 5. It certainly doesn’t hurt that they’ll be back on home ice, and the last time we saw them inside American Airlines Center, they held both Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl pointless.

Over 5.5 goals (-122)

After mentioning McDavid and Draisaitl being unable to record a point, it may not be the best transition to the next leg of our Oilers vs Stars Same Game Parlay picks, but we still expect plenty of goals tonight. After all, that’s what we’ve seen in the past 2 games, and they haven’t wasted any time lighting the lamp.

There were 4 goals scored in the first period alone in Game 4, and of course, McDavid and Draisaitl got involved again. As did Dallas’ Wyatt Johnston, whose 9 postseason goals are the most of any Stars skater before turning 23 (he just recently turned 21). We’re not concerned with who finds the back of the net, just that there are at least 6 goals scored.

Jason Robertson over 0.5 points (-175)

One skater that we do think will find the back of the net is Jason Robertson. The Stars’ left winger was the primary driver behind that aforementioned comeback victory in Game 3. Not only did he end a 10-game goal drought, but he did so with an incredible hat-trick.

Thankfully, as making this part of our Oilers vs Stars Same Game Parlay picks, we can make this just an overall point prop. That’s extremely beneficial, as 10 of his 16 postseason points have been assists. Those 16 are tied with Miro Heiskanen for the team lead in these playoffs, so we’re trusting him to continue his success to close out our Oilers vs Stars Same Game Parlay picks.
