I've been a capper since my love for sports met my proficiency with numbers and math. The NFL and NCAAF have always been my first loves, followed by the NHL. Although I prefer sports that involve hitting people, I still love capping MLB, soccer, tennis, and even some esports. Living in Florida has its perks like year-round sports of any kind. The New York Rangers have bounced back in the 2024 NHL Eastern Conference Finals to even the series against the Florida Panthers at a game apiece. As for us, we have now hit our SGP for both Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals and Game 2 of this series, so it’s only right that I’m back with our best Rangers vs Panthers Same Game Parlay picks for tonight’s Game 3!

Rangers vs Panthers Same Game Parlay (5/26)

Panthers ML (-155)

Under 5.5 goals (-130)

Matthew Tkachuk over 0.5 points (-195)

Parlay odds +330

Florida Panthers ML (-135) over New York Rangers

Call it the zig-zag theory if you’d like, but I’m targeting it to be the Panthers’ turn to get the win and take the series lead yet again. When you think of a town called Sunrise, Florida, you may not think of ice hockey, but the fans just outside of South Beach certainly do. It may not be the famous Madison Square Garden, but Amerant Bank Arena has been great to the Panthers and their fans.

They won all 3 games there in the first round of the postseason after going 26-13-2 at home in the regular season. One of those victories came against the Rangers as well in the only home matchup they had with the blue shirts. Speaking of their regular season meetings, they went 2-1 against New York this season, and of course, had their 3-0 victory in Game 1 of this series. I don’t expect another shutout, but we anticipate a hungry Florida squad that just had its streak of 11 straight overtime playoff wins snapped.

Under 5.5 goals (-130)

While I’m backing a change when it comes to a winner tonight, when it comes to the total that’s where I’m going to stick with the trend. We’ve seen just 3 goals scored in each of the first 2 matchups, and they were very hard to come by. Most recently, it took overtime to break a 1-1 tie, and Game 1 had just one standard goal scored.

After a scoreless first period and Matthew Tkachuk’s goal in the second, the other 2 goals were an own goal and an empty netter. Such dominant goaltending is why we see New York’s Igor Shesterkin and Florida’s Sergei Bobrovsky among the favorites for the Conn Smythe Trophy. I’m going with another low-scoring contest.

Matthew Tkachuk over 0.5 points (-195)

Although I expect goals to be difficult to come by, I expect at least 1 goal to be generated by the aforementioned Tkachuk. He has been the fuel to this Panthers team since being acquired from the Calgary Flames, and if not for his chest injury in the Stanley Cup Final last season, Florida may be going for back-to-back titles. Regardless, he’s had MVP-caliber seasons in back-to-back years, and has 16 points this postseason.

Of those 16, 11 have been assists, so you could take that plus-money prop as a standalone play or even substitute it into our Rangers vs Panthers SGP for an even greater payout. I’ll play it a bit safer, as I’m supremely confident that he will record a point in some fashion. He had 4 in 3 games against New York in the regular season, 2 in Game 1; I expect another on home ice tonight.
