Chelsea ML over Brentford (-160), 7:30 am ET, Saturday

Smiles have been returning at Stamford Bridge as the Blues start looking like 5-time Premier League champions again – and Brentford could be set for a thrashing in their London derby.

Mauricio Pochettino appears to have got his methods across to his relatively new team and Chelsea have been playing superbly in recent weeks. Fulham and Burnley were brushed aside with ease, then the Blues nearly got the better of Arsenal in a 2-2 tie last week. The expensively assembled Chelsea squad appears set to hit top gear and Brentford probably lack the quality to repel them.

Arsenal ML over Sheffield United (-950), 10:00 am ET, Saturday

No team in the Premier League has conceded more goals than Sheffield United and the Blades should be comfortably outclassed by title-chasing Arsenal. Sheffield United suffered an embarrassing 8-0 home defeat to Newcastle a month ago and have lost 5 games in a row. It is difficult to imagine the Yorkshire side stopping Arsenal from getting on the scoresheet. Arsenal have seen only 8 goals scored against them this season. Sheffield United are bottom of the table and already looking doomed to relegation.

Newcastle ML over Wolves (-125), 12:30 pm ET, Saturday

Borussia Dortmund upset Newcastle on Wednesday night, ending a wonderful spell of form for the Magpies, but Eddie Howe’s men can get back to winning ways at Wolves. Newcastle’s odds have been getting bigger for this game, having picked up some injuries against Dortmund, as well as dealing with the long suspension of Sandro Tonali. There is enough strength in depth in the Newcastle squad, though, to handle the setbacks.

Newcastle have produced some remarkable soccer this season, including an 8-0 destruction of Sheffield United and a 4-1 thrashing of Paris St-Germain in the Champions League. They scored 21 goals in their 6 games prior to the Dortmund defeat and can outclass Wolves at Molineux.

Manchester City ML over Manchester United (-150), 11:30 pm ET, Sunday

The Manchester derby will hog the spotlight on Sunday – this game carries obvious spice – but City still hold a significant edge over United. The Red Devils have narrowly overcome some weak opposition in their last 3 games – Brentford, Sheffield United and Copenhagen — but their general performances have been unconvincing. A fixture with Manchester City – even with home advantage – should expose United’s fragility. Brighton, Crystal Palace and Galatasaray have all beaten United at Old Trafford in the last 6 weeks.
