Parlay odds: +1163

Let’s break down each of the legs one by one.

Vegas Golden Knights -1.5 vs New York Islanders (+170)

The Islanders have been terrible on home ice this season. They’re 2-5-2 while the Golden Knights are 9-5 on the road. Additionally, the Knights are on a 4-game win streak and are slowly climbing their way back to the top of the Pacific division. Since the return of their captain Mark Stone and the dynamic winger Max Pacioretty, the Knights have looked like a completely different team. They’re averaging 3.5 goals per game, the 4th-most in the league. Meanwhile, the Islanders are scoring just 2.16 goals per game, which is the3rd-worst average. Offensively, the Islanders have been lacking all season. They average the 3rd-fewest shots on goal per game, the 5th-worst powerplay percentage, and the 6th-worst shooting percentage. Despite all their success over the last 2 seasons and being a consistent threat in the playoffs, this year the Isles just can’t seem to get it done.

The Islanders are 3-4-3 in their last 10 games while the Knights are 7-3-0. During that stretch, Vegas’ offense has been on fire, scoring 4.5 goals per game and the Islanders are averaging just 2.3 goals per game. If the Golden Knights can get off to an early lead, it’s hard to imagine the Islanders can come back. Take Vegas -1.5. They’re the better team and have been scoring twice as many goals.

St. Louis Blues vs Winnipeg Jets over 5.5 goals (-115)

These are two offensively-minded teams. The Blues are averaging 3.4 goals per game while the Jets are averaging 2.93. The Blues have the 2nd-ranked powerplay in the league, scoring 30.6% of the time, the Jets have the 12th-best, scoring 20% of the time. The Blues have a winning streak to protect as they’ve won their last 2 games and will be looking to do what they do best to secure another victory: score. The Jets have lost their last 3 games and will be desperate, which could lead to plenty of offensive chances for both teams.

Neither team’s goaltender has been playing their best hockey this season, which is good news for bettors. Jordan Binnington, goaltender for the Blues, is posting a 2.80 GAA. Connor Hellebuyck, the Jets goaltender, has been posting a 2.72 GAA. If the goaltenders stick to their season averages, this game is set to hit the over. In the Jets’ last 10 games, they’ve allowed 3.1 goals per game while averaging 3.1. Take over 5.5 goals as both teams play a very offensive style of hockey.

Pittsburgh Penguins -1.5 vs New Jersey Devils (+135)

These teams that are trending in the complete opposite direction. The Penguins have won their last 6 games while the Devils have lost their last 5. Of those 6 victories by the Pens, they’ve covered the spread in 4. As for the Devils, in 5 consecutive losses, they lost 4 by 2 or more goals and in the last 4, the Devils have failed to cover the spread. It’s hard to imagine the Devils can pull off a miracle win against a Pittsburgh team on such a tear. Defensively, the Penguins have been one of the best teams in the league. They’re allowing just 2.41 goals per game. They also have the best penalty-kill in the league. The Devils defensively have been a completely different story, allowing 3.32 goals per game.

Tristan Jarry is expected to start for the Pens tonight. He’s 14-5-4 on the season, posting an impressive 1.92 GAA and .933 SVP. In the opposite crease, Jon Gillies is expected to start his second game of the season. He allowed 3 goals in his first start of the season which resulted in a loss. Take Pittsburgh by -1.5 tonight.
