Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. The Minnesota Timberwolves caused a bit of a shock in Game 1, upsetting the defending champions at home. The pressure will surely shift to the Denver Nuggets tonight. Another loss today and they would find themselves going on the road in a 2-game hole. Tonight’s hosts however still remain the favorites to come out of the Western Conference and will be looking to showcase exactly why that is the case in Game 2. You can check out all of our NBA picks for today’s games, including Pacers vs Knicks, but for now, let’s jump into my Game 2 Timberwolves vs Nuggets Same Game Parlay picks.

Over 205.5 (-110)

Nikola Jokic 3+ made threes (+420)

Anthony Edwards over 28.5 points (-120)

Same Game Parlay odds: +993

Over 205.5 (-110)

The first game between these teams combined for 205 points and that was with the Denver Nuggets struggling offensively. It was the first game during the postseason that the Nuggets had failed to reach the 100-point mark. If they are able to return to form here, the over will have a great chance to hit, especially considering the Timberwolves are leading all playoff teams in offensive rating this postseason. The Nuggets are 6th in pace among these teams and could look to push the tempo further tonight. The Timberwolves have more size on the inside with Rudy Gobert and Karl-Anthony Towns. The Nuggets could look to try and beat them down the floor before they are able to set up defensively. Luckily for them, they have one of the best outlet passers in the league in Nikola Jokic. Look for both teams to comfortably clear the 100-point mark here.

Nikola Jokic 3+ made threes (+420)

Being matched up against Rudy Gobert encouraged Nikola Jokic to play the role of a floor spacer in Game 1. He attempted 9 three-pointers in that contest in an effort to get Gobert out on the perimeter, where he is much less comfortable defending. The Timberwolves center is someone that prefers drop coverage which also creates pick-and-pop opportunities for the Serbian. And while in the opening game of the series Jokic only knocked down 2 of those shots, he is a 35.9% shooter from deep on the season. If he gets anywhere close to the same number of attempts, he should be favored to knock down at least 3 shots. It makes this a great addition to our Timberwolves vs Nuggets Same Game Parlay.

We also have a Pacers vs Knicks Same Game Parlay at +509 odds for tonight’s other playoff matchup

Anthony Edwards over 28.5 points (-120)

From everything we have seen from Anthony Edwards in the postseason, this line should be at least 2 points higher. In 4 of the 5 games he has appeared in so far, he has managed to score at least 33 points. That includes dropping a personal playoff-high 43 points in Game 1. He is making 53.2% from the field and 43.6% from deep in those 5 games. He is electric when getting to the rim and finishing and it is not something the Nuggets are equipped to stop. No team this postseason allows more points in the paint per game than tonight’s hosts. Of the 16 playoff teams, the Nuggets are also middle of the road in defensive rating, ranking 8th. The Timberwolves should be turning to Edwards once more to exploit this here. He has attempted at least 23 shots in 4 of the 5 postseason games. If he maintains his efficiency, this over should fall fairly easily.
