Wednesday five-team NBA mega parlay (+1797 odds): Suns cook 76ers

DeMar DeRozan Spurs parlay

It’s time for another NBA mega parlay and this is the perfect slate to pull one off. We have 12 games on the hardwood tonight which is more than enough to find something to tie together. NBA TV has a double header which is the cherry on top of the evening. At 7pm ET, they will bring us the Suns/76ers and when they’re done, we’ll see the Grizzlies/Clippers. The only thing left to do at this point is place our bets!

Don’t just read about this parlay though. You’d be selling yourself short if you did that. Our team has put together picks on the side and total of all 12 games on the NBA slate tonight.

Oklahoma City Thunder team total over 27.5 *1st quarter (-128)

San Antonio Spurs team total over 27.5 *1st quarter (-108)

Memphis Grizzlies team total over 27.5 *1st quarter (-128)

Oklahoma City Thunder team total over 27.5 *1st quarter (-128)

NBA first quarter team totals are the best kept secret betting and a great way to attack any NBA slate. One team that has flown under the radar recently is the Oklahoma City Thunder. Before only scoring 25 in the first quarter of their last game, they had gone over 30 in four straight. They are in a prime bounce back spot tonight against a Pacer team that has allowed 31.7 first quarter points per contest over their last three games. This is a great place to start our parlay tonight.

San Antonio Spurs team total over 27.5 *1st quarter (-108)

Another team that is not getting the respect of the books is the San Antonio Spurs. Only three teams in the NBA have been better in the first quarter in terms of points scored than the Spurs. They are averaging 31.7 points in the opening quarter in that span and have gone over 27.5 in each of their last five games. They welcome a Heat team that has multiple players questionable and just came off of a game where they allowed the lowly Rockets to score 28 in the first quarter. This one should carry the parlay.

Memphis Grizzlies team total over 27.5 *1st quarter (-128)

Yet another team the books are disrespecting is the Memphis Grizzlies. They have been starting strong recently as no team in the NBA has scored more points in the first quarter in the last 10 games than the Grizzlies. The Grizzlies have averaged a ridiculous 32 points per first quarter in that stretch and have scored at least 33 points in the first quarter of their last four games. They play the Clippers tonight who just played last night and have given up an average of 29.3 points in their last three first quarters. The Grizzlies fit perfectly into our parlay.

Phoenix Suns ML (-162)

We should take a break from the first quarter team totals and check out what’s going on in Philadelphia. Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris were both questionable heading into this one after missing last game. Now Joel Embiid has shown up as questionable on the injury report as well. It’s tough to guess with these things but given Embiid’s history, he is likely not going to play. If and when he is announced out, this line will go bye-bye. Get it before it’s gone as the Suns were a good bet to beat the 76ers even with Embiid in the lineup. This parlay should still be intact when this one ends.

Houston Rockets team total over 25.5 *1st quarter (-113)

The Rockets are not exactly offensive juggernauts but 25.5 is not exactly juggernaut status. Over their last nine games, the Rockets are averaging 29 points per first quarter. Over their last nine games, they are fifth in pace in the first quarter and it helps that their starters play most of the quarter. The Jazz are third in the NBA in opponent first quarter points but over the last three games they have been slipping giving up 29 points per opening frame. This should win our parlay tonight.
