Good morning Pickswise Nation, and welcome to another super Sunday of sports. We have a tense final round of the US Open golf in prospect, plus a big MLB slate, college baseball, F1 and soccer, so let’s get straight to making your next bet better.

About Last Night

Giants crush Dodgers 15-0
It sounds like a tennis score, but the Giants and Dodgers were playing baseball when San Francisco won 15-0 last night, handing LA its worst ever home shutout loss. The league-leading Rays were also shut out in a 2-0 loss to the Padres. Our props expert cashed our best bet of the day as Mitch Keller posted 7 strikeouts for the Pirates, but Pittsburgh also lost without scoring a run, 5-0 to the Brewers.

Great start to the College World Series
We’re 2-0 on the College Baseball World Series after cashing Saturday’s Best Bet on the tournament, with Wake Forest and LSU winning Saturday’s games in Omaha.

Today’s Slate

Yankees vs Red Sox on Sunday Night Baseball
We have a 16-game MLB slate today, with the Yankees and Red Sox now due to play a doubleheader with the second game on Sunday Night Baseball at 7:00 pm ET on ESPN after yesterday’s rainout. The Orioles and Cubs will get the action going at 1:05 pm ET on Peacock. Read today’s MLB predictions.

McIlroy chasing Clark and Fowler
Wyndham Clark and Rickie Fowler share the lead in the US Open heading into the final round, with Rory McIlroy just a shot behind and Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele and Dustin Johnson all still in contention. Ricky Dimon has picked out the best 2-ball bets for Sunday’s action, while we also have F1 predictions for the Canadian Grand Prix.

Best Bet of the Day

MLB: Over 9.5 runs in Los Angeles Angels vs Kansas City Royals
2:10 pm ET

Neither pitcher in this game has been very good lately. Zack Greinke is clearly in the twilight of his career, and he has given up 8 runs in his last 2 starts. He rarely goes beyond 5 innings either, and any time the Royals’ bullpen gets involved, it is a risky business. The Angels will start Tyler Anderson, who has given up 5, 4, and 6 earned runs in his last 3 starts. He has fallen apart lately, and even the Royals should be poised to hit him hard. With both pitchers struggling another high score between these teams seems likely. Check out our full Angels vs Royals predictions.

Stat of the Day

The last 24 US Open winners were all within 4 shots of the lead going into the final round.

Quote of the Day

“It’s a little ridiculous we teed off that late. I would say right around hole 15 or 16 it started getting to where you couldn’t see that well. We played twilight golf.”

US Open contender Wyndham Clark would have preferred an earlier tee time.
