Good morning, Pickswise Nation, and welcome to another wonderful week of sports. The NCAA Tournament is taking a deserved break after 4 days of drama, but we have NBA and NHL action to enjoy today, so let’s get straight to making your next bet better.

About Last Night

NBA parlay cashes at +597 odds
It was a super Sunday for Pickswise followers as we cashed our parlays in the NBA and the NHL. The basketball bet was brought home at +597 odds by the Pelicans, Raptors and Clippers covering. The Pelicans and Clippers beat the Rockets and Trail Blazers respectively by double-digit margins, while the Raptors (+9.5) were able to stay within 7 points of the Bucks as Milwaukee collected its 51st win of the season.

Our NHL parlay is a winner too!
It was a great Sunday in the NHL too, as our cappers went 5-2 overall and cashed our parlay at +657 odds thanks to regulation-time wins by the Rangers and Canucks and over 6.5 hitting as the Devils beat the Lightning 5-2. The Canucks’ 2-1 win over the Ducks made our only 3-star hockey pick of the day a winner as well.

Crimson Tide favorites for NCAA Tournament
Before we look at the latest odds for the men’s NCAA Tournament, we should just pause to offer our sympathy to those who backed Gonzaga -4.5 in last night’s second-round game against TCU. With the Zags leading by 6 and less than a second left, TCU guard Damion Baugh picked the ball off the floor and casually launched a long-distance 3-pointer for an outrageous backdoor cover. We cashed both of our NCAAB Best Bets on Sunday as underdogs Creighton and Fairleigh Dickinson were both able to cover, Creighton beating Baylor 85-76 outright.

This time last week Alabama was available at +800 odds to win the NCAA Tournament, but the Crimson Tide will head into the Sweet 16, which starts on Thursday, as the +300 favorites, with Houston at +400, from +500 a week ago. After that in FanDuel Sportsbook’s betting comes UConn at +800 and UCLA at +950 with Gonzaga, Creighton and Texas all at +1000.

5 games in the NHL
The NHL action continues with a 5-game Monday slate that starts with Panthers vs Red Wings at 7:00 pm ET on NHL Network and concludes with a Flames vs Kings matchup at 10:30 pm ET. Check out today’s NHL picks.

Best Bet of the Day

NHL: Over 6.5 in Florida Panthers vs Detroit Red Wings
7:00 pm ET, NHL Network

The Panthers should be able to complete a 3-0 season sweep over the Red Wings, but backing a high-scoring game should be a better move. Florida has scored at least 4 goals in 4 straight games, averaging more than 5 per game. The Panthers’ offense should have no trouble playing against a weak defensive team. The Red Wings give up 3.13 goals per game and should struggle to hold back the league’s 4th-best offense. Florida is not much better defensively than Detroit, giving up 3.12 goals per game. Check out our full Panthers vs Red Wings predictions.

Stat of the Day

The Warriors are 7-29 on the road this season and just 9-27 against the spread in those games. They are also 0-3 on their current road trip.

Quote of the Day

“Every part of this I’ll remember forever — and they will, too.”

Fairleigh Dickinson head coach Tobin Anderson was rightly proud after the #16 seed went out following a 78-70 loss to Florida Atlantic.
