About Last Night

Underdogs barking on Friday night
Friday’s college football brought some upsets, most notably Virginia Tech beating No. 10 North Carolina 17-10. Charlotte and Michigan State also won straight up as underdogs. In the MLB, World Series favorites the Los Angeles Dodgers lost 3-2 to the San Francisco Giants in an 11-inning thriller that gave the Giants (86-49) the lead in the NL West over the 85-50 Dodgers. The Giants are +125 with FanDuel Sportsbook to win the division.

Best Bet of the Day

Under 67 points in Western Michigan vs Michigan
Noon ET, ESPN

The Western Michigan Broncos averaged almost 42 points last year, but that was all against MAC competition and it’s hard to see them scoring enough against a big school like Michigan to push this game over. The Wolverines struggled offensively last year, putting up just a little over 28 points per game while shuffling starting quarterbacks throughout their 6 games. Michigan’s defense should also improve under new defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald. Take the under. Check out our full preview of Western Michigan vs Michigan.

Stat of the Day

The Texas Rangers lost their 50th road game of the season, 3-2 against the Angels, yesterday. They are 16-50 on the road and their 16 road wins are the fewest in the American League by a wide margin. Check out our full preview of Texas Rangers vs Los Angeles Angels.
