The total of 46.5 is exactly where I thought it would be, so unfortunately, I don't see much value on either side of the ledger. Going with a ML or ATS play looks far more enticing. That being said, I lean slightly toward the over for my next Vikings vs. Lions prediction. Minnesota's games are generally staying in the 30s, while we usually get at least into the 50s, if not more, when Detroit takes the field. In other words, something's gotta give on Sunday. Especially since it's in Motown, I will -- without a ton of confidence -- take the Vikings' offense to have a slight upper hand over the Vikings' defense.
Jahmyr Gibbs is a top-two running back in football and has already racked up 620 rushing yards, 270 receiving yards and nine total touchdowns. Minnesota's offense is not good, but it should be able to contribute at least some to the total. Kyler Murray is healthy, playing mistake-free football and slinging it to WRs Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison. I will ride with the over simply because you can get it at +100 (the under is -120) and it correlates better with the Lions winning and covering. After all, a relatively high-scoring game script is the one that favors the home side.
Minnesota Vikings vs Detroit Lions prediction: Over 46.5 (+100) available at time of publishing. Playable at that number.
