What we don't know at time of publishing is who will be on the field for Philadelphia (and to a lesser extent for Jacksonville, also). What we do know is that the Eagles' offensive line is in shambles. Lane Johnson retired abruptly earlier this week and immediately thereafter they traded Cam Jurgens to the Ravens. I don't care how capable their replacements are; when an offensive line is not used to each other, the whole is less than the sum of its parts. That is a big reason why my Eagles vs. Jaguars pick is under 41.5.
Philly has not scored more than 24 points in any game this season, and it is averaging 13.5 ppg over its past two outings. Now health has become a concern offensively, too. Moreover, the Eagles have to face a Jaguars defense that has allowed 10, 20, six and 17 points so far this year. Although the Jags have been effective enough on offense, they have not had a 100-yard receiver and have not even had a 75-yard rusher in any contest. Again, any wager on this contest should be made with extreme caution -- at least until the Eagles' infirmary report is confirmed (and really the Jaguars' list, too). For now, however, I'm leaning toward the under.
Eagles vs Jaguars prediction: Under 41.5 (-105) available at time of publishing. Playable at that number.
