Cowboys vs Eagles Same Game Parlay: Best SGP Picks
Week 7 of the NFL season concludes with Monday Night Football between the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field in Philly. Neither team is any good, but it is still a crucial contest given the up-for-grabs nature of the moribund NFC East. Both sides are 2-4, looking up at the surprising but unspectacular Giants (4-2-1) in the division.
I have been red hot with my Same Game Parlays in recent weeks. Let's keep the momentum going with my SGP for Monday’s primetime festivities, which get underway at 8:15 pm ET on ESPN. Also be sure to check out our full Cowboys vs Eagles predictions.
Eagles ML (+190)
Saquon Barkley to record 100+ rushing yards (+300)
Saquon Barkley anytime touchdown scorer (+105)
Parlay odds: +668
Part of the value in a Same Game Parlay, of course, is that all of its components can be correlated if you so choose. That is the entire plan here, as Philadelphia running back Saquon Barkley having a big night would obviously work well with a win by the Eagles. Let’s break down each of the three legs.
Eagles ML (+190)
This is more fading the Cowboys than backing the Eagles. And fading this Dallas outfit is rarely a bad move these days. Head coach Brian Schottenheimer’s squad has lost two in a row and three of its last four contests, defeating only a 2-5 Texans team by four points during this stretch. They are coming off an eight-point setback against the 2-5 Bucs and a 10-point loss to Green Bay. Playing with a backup quarterback is obviously a factor that can’t be discounted, but Tanner McKee is a capable replacement for Jalen Hurts (out for the season due to blood clots). McKee did not exactly set the world on fire last week against Carolina, but he played turnover-free football and finished with 215 passing yards and a touchdown to DeVonta Smith. The former Stanford standout owns a 60.1 completion percentage and a 6-to-1 touchdown-to-interception ratio in seven lifetime appearances. McKee did not even have the help of Saquon Barkley against the Panthers, but that should change on Monday. Barkley is still listed as questionable, but he logged a full practice on Thursday and is expected to play. Neither NFC East representative inspires any confidence. In a matchup between two thoroughly underwhelming 2-4 teams, the value is on the home underdog.
Saquon Barkley to record 100+ rushing yards (+300)
This projects as a huge game all around for Barkley – provided that he is 100 percent, of course. One, Hurts’ absence obviously hurts Philadelphia’s passing attack and puts more of a premium on the ground game. Two, Smith and Dontayvion Wicks are out – leaving Makai Lemon as McKee’s top receiver. Three (and most importantly), Dallas is the absolute worst rushing defense in the entire NFL. It ranks dead last (with room to spare) by giving up 149.8 yards per game on the ground on 4.7 yards per carry. Barkley has not yet reached the century mark this season, but he has produced at least 82 yards on two occasions. The Penn State product should be poised for a breakout performance.
Saquon Barkley anytime touchdown scorer (+105)
I’m staying on the Barkley train and tipping him to find the endzone on Monday night. Unsurprisingly, the Cowboys have already surrendered seven rushing touchdowns this year. Only five teams have given up more. Although McKee is a solid player, the Eagles will trust Barkley with the ball in his hands in the red zone to a much greater extent than McKee. At plus money, the 29-year-old has good value to score.
