The Carolina Panthers finally make their way back on primetime with a matchup versus the Detroit Lions in a game with a total of 50.5 - the second-most of any game for Week 4. That calls for explosive plays and touchdown scorers.

Let's break down my favorite anytime TD scorers for Sunday Night Football, and don’t forget our NFL picks for tips and predictions on both sides and totals of every NFL game this season.

Lions vs Panthers Anytime Touchdown Scorer: Tetairoa McMillan (+135)

Odds available at BetMGM Sportsbook at time of publishing.

The Panthers wide receiver duo, Tetairoa McMillan and Jalen Coker, has been far more impressive than anybody thought to start the year. A lot of that credit goes to Bryce Young, who ranks second in passing yards (Aaron Rodgers has played one more game) and has thrown just two interceptions. Unfortunately for Young and the Panthers, Coker is unlikely to suit up on Sunday Night, leaving his 20% target share and team-leading receptions and yards on the sideline. However, that allows McMillan to turn heads.

It was a slow week last week for McMillan, as he reeled in just two catches, as Young spread the ball around to nine different receivers, but look for Young to rely on McMillan in the red zone this week - especially in a presumed negative game script.

Lions vs Panthers Anytime Touchdown Scorer: Darren Waller (+270)

Odds available at BetMGM Sportsbook at time of publishing

With a game total in the 50s, we have 3 players with prices at -350, -135, and -115 to score a touchdown on Sunday Night. That leaves us a decision to make, an easy one. We're avoiding those prices altogether and targeting 34-year-old tight end, Darren Waller, who played 50% of the snaps last week, caught five balls on eight targets, and found the end zone twice the week prior. His 39 snaps lead the tight end room, and in a game where the Panthers find themselves as more than field goal underdogs at home, Young will likely rely on Waller, who, at six-foot-six, is a massive target in the red zone.
