Lions vs Panthers SNF Player Prop: Darren Waller (CAR) over 30.5 receiving yards (-113)
Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook at the time of publishing. Playable to 34.5 (-115)
The Detroit Lions have been abysmal against tight ends, and that’s not an exaggeration. They’ve allowed the most targets, receptions, yards and touchdowns to tight ends, so I’m going to keep it relatively straightforward and simply target Darren Waller to continue those trends.
Waller signed with the Panthers pretty late in the process, mid-August to be exact, so he was a bit delayed in getting up to game speed. With each week, his snap count and target share have increased, to a point where he is now third on the team in targets, receptions and yards.
Speaking of Coker, he’s currently questionable to play, while fellow WR Xavier Legette is out. Being down one pass-catcher should further increase Waller’s usage, let alone two – including the team’s target leader.
Top opposing tight ends have soared past this number in each of Detroit’s three games, and while the Panthers’ tight end room is somewhat crowded, Waller is the best of the bunch. Don’t be afraid to ladder this up to 50 or 60, either.

Lions vs Panthers SNF Player Prop: Amon-Ra St. Brown (DET) over 75.5 receiving yards (-113)
Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook at the time of publishing. Playable to 79.5 (-115).
This one feels like a no-brainer. Amon-Ra St. Brown is a target monster, sitting behind only Chris Olave and Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and he has an incredibly favorable matchup in front of him on Sunday night. The Panthers are typically pretty good in the secondary, but they just put corners Mike Jackson and Jaycee Horn – their top two pieces of that unit – on the IR this week. That thrusts Akayleb Evans, Chau Smith-Wade and rookie Will Lee III into much larger roles, which isn’t a good thing given the former two were either not good in coverage or didn’t really play last year, while Lee was just a fourth round pick and has already given up the most yards on the team per PFF (147).
St. Brown typically puts on a show on primetime, and he’s garnered double-digit targets more often than not since the start of last season. With that kind of volume in this kind of mismatch, he should soar over this number and flirt with another 100-yard performance.
