To kickstart tonight's NHL parlay, I'm taking the Lightning to beat the Rangers. The Rangers have one of the best netminders in the NHL in Igor Shesterkin, but it does not matter if they can’t score goals. And they got shut out in their season opener. Making its 2026-27 debut, the Lightning are led by Nikita Kucherov - who recorded 130 points last year. The Bolts have more firepower.
This is the final home opener inside the historic Scotiabank Saddledome for the Flames. It will be a spectacle on Thursday night, so to say that Calgary should be playing with vigor would be an understatement. Moreover, the Flames have assembled a nice core of young players to build around in Dustin Wolf, Zayne Parekh, Matt Coronato and Simon Nemec. Seattle isn't anything special.
To round off tonight's NHL parlay, I'm taking the Wild to beat the Predators. Bridgestone Arena will be rocking for the Predators as they look to bounce back from another Stanley Cup playoffs disappointment. Minnesota's Quinn Hughes enters the season in the final year of his contract but remains part of a stacked roster that also features Kirill Kaprizov, Matt Boldy and steady goalie Jesper Wallstedt. Nashville is coming off a down year and doesn't figure to turn things around very quickly.
