Money Line Pick
UTA Mammoth Win(-105)

The first round series between the Vegas Golden Knights and Utah Mammoth has been a wild one so far. Utah is on the brink of elimination after dropping Game 4 in overtime and Game 5 in double overtime. Both games resulted in 5-4 losses for the Mammoth, and both delivered tough gut punches. But despite those defeats, the Mammoth should still take the ice in Friday’s Game 6 with plenty of confidence. A couple different bounces and this series could look a lot different.

All 3 of Vegas’ wins in this series have come via 3rd period comebacks. That is impressive, but the Golden Knights may be playing with fire. That doesn’t appear to be a sustainable strategy, and as the series shifts back to Utah, the Mammoth should come out firing. Vegas goaltender Carter Hart has been extremely vulnerable lately, owning a save percentage of .852 over the last 3 games in this series. Utah possesses a well-rounded scoring attack that should be able to take advantage. As long as Karel Vejmelka holds steady in net, Utah will be in good shape. This series has 7 games written all over it, and I expect the Mammoth to stay alive with a win on Friday night in Game 6.
