UFC 330 Best Bets: Islam Makhachev vs. Ian Machado Garry
UFC 330 is scheduled for Saturday, August 15 at the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This event will feature a Main Event for the UFC Welterweight title between Islam Makhachev and Ian Machado Garry as well as a Co-Main Event for the UFC Women's Strawweight title between Mackenzie Dern and Gillian Robertson.

UFC 330 Best Bet: Islam Makhachev to Win by KO/TKO or Submission over Ian Machado Garry (+175)

The Main Event at UFC 330 will see Islam Makhachev take on Ian Machado Garry in the UFC Welterweight division and will be for the UFC Welterweight title. Makhachev enters this fight with an MMA record of 28-1 and 17-1 in the UFC. He is averaging 2.45 significant strikes per minute and has a striking accuracy of 58%. Makhachev absorbs 1.45 strikes and has a striking defense of 61%. His grappling has also been elite, averaging 3.10 takedowns every 15 minutes and 1.0 submission attempts during the same period. Makhachev has a takedown accuracy of 56% and a takedown defense of 91%.
Makhachev is the heavy favorite, which is fair considering he is the one holding the Welterweight title. Makhachev has been absolutely dominant in the UFC, which is proven by the fact that he has won 16 consecutive fights and eight of his last 10 UFC fights by finish.
Machado Garry, on the other hand, has never lost by finish in the UFC. That said, he has also not fought an opponent like Makhachev. Machado Garry may have had a ton of success in the UFC, but given Makhachev’s skill level, backing him to win by finish and retain his title will be our best bet.

UFC 330 Best Bet: Kaue Fernandes ML over Jalin Turner (+130)

The third fight on the Main Card at UFC 330 will see Jalin Turner take on Kaue Fernandes in the UFC Lightweight division. Fernandes enters this fight with an MMA record of 11-2 and 3-1 in the UFC. He is averaging 4.28 significant strikes per minute and has a striking accuracy of 55%. Fernandes absorbs 1.42 strikes and has a striking defense of 62%. His grappling has also been decent, averaging 1.18 takedowns every 15 minutes. He also has a takedown accuracy of 100% and a takedown defense of 76%.
Turner is the clear favorite in this fight; however, Fernandes looks to be a solid upset option. This is especially considering that Turner has been inconsistent recently, having gone 2-4 over his last 6 UFC fights. Fernandes, on the other hand, has won his last three UFC fights in a row after losing his UFC debut. Based on this form, backing Fernandes to win will be our best bet.
