Medic is the overwhelming favorite, so we're looking at markets outside the money line. At near even money, we're looking for this fight to at least make it out Round 1.
Medic has seen most of his fights end in the first round, which is certainly a concern. However, Rodriguez has shown an ability to extend fights, as 12 of his 15 UFC bouts have gone at least to the second round. That includes 7 of his last 8 fights and his last 4 in a row. I'm trusting that durability in this one at an attractive price.

UFC Fight Night 283 Best Bet: Navajo Stirling Win by Decision over Jan Blachowicz (-105)

The co-main event at UFC Fight Night 283 will see Jan Blachowicz take on Navajo Stirling in the Light Heavyweight division. Stirling is perfect at the professional level (10-0, 6-0 in UFC), averaging 6.24 strikes per minute at 54% accuracy. On the other side, he absorbs 2.62 strikes and has a striking defense of 58%. His grappling ability has been decent, averaging 0.86 takedowns every 15 minutes, along with a takedown accuracy of 26% and a takedown defense of 71%.
Stirling is the significant favorite, but it's a price I'm unwilling to pay. Instead, I'm pivoting to his method of victory and taking him by decision. Stirling has limited UFC experience but has won 3 of his 6 UFC fights by decision. Blachowicz, on the other hand, has lost by decision in 2 of his last 3 fights. He has shown durability to last a full fight but hasn't been good enough to win, which is exactly what we want in order to win this bet.

UFC Fight Night 283 Best Bet: Marcin Tybura vs. Aleksander Rakic - Fight to go the Distance - No (-145)

The fourth fight on the main card at UFC Fight Night 283 pits Aleksander Rakic and Marcin Tybura in the Heavyweight division. Rakic is the heavy favorite, so like our last bet, we're going with a prop here and taking this fight to end before the judges get involved. Tybura has seen 5 of his last 7 UFC fights end inside the distance, while Ratic has seen 3 of his last 4 UFC fights do the same. Sometimes, you just have to play the trends and not overthink it, and that's exactly what I'm doing here. Expect violence in this one.
