The Penguins have not been getting the same kind of play they had down the stretch. Pittsburgh was unable to solve Dan Vladar in Game 2, as he stopped all 27 shots. Stuart Skinner allowed just 2 goals on 23 shots for the Pens, but that was still not good enough. RW Porter Martone has been a handful in this series, going for 2 goals in 2 games, and RW Garnet Hathaway ended up with a goal and an assist in Game 2. It’s a new hero each night for the Flyers. The Under is 3-0-1 in the past 4 games for the Flyers, while the Under is 3-1 in the past 4 games for the Pens. With Pittsburgh facing a borderline must-win situation and its back against the wall, expect another low-scoring affair.

The Oilers took a thrilling Game 1 from the Ducks 4-3 when Kasperi Kapanen scored a goal with less than 2 minutes remaining in regulation. These were 2 of the weaker defensive teams in the regular season, and that was on full display Monday night. In the regular season, the Ducks averaged 3.51 goals against per game; the Oilers averaged 3.23 — both in the bottom eight of the NHL. Both teams managed 28 or more shots on goal. The Oilers managed to score 4 goals without a single point from Connor McDavid and despite going 0-for-2 on the powerplay. Don’t expect that to continue in Game 2.
