Butler Bulldogs vs South Carolina Gamecocks Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 11/21/25

However, their perimeter defenses have been just as good. The Gamecocks are top-5 in 3-point rate allowed and 19th in opposing 3-point percentage, while the Bulldogs are 7th and 27th, respectively. Those defensive characteristics will be crucial in this matchup considering both of these teams love to shoot from beyond the arc.

South Carolina plays at a below-average pace under Lamont Butler, so don’t be surprised to see the Gamecocks make Butler work in the halfcourt – methodically running their offense through Meechie Johnson and company as seconds tick off the shot clock. This slow pace of play should help limit possessions and suppress scoring despite playing against a team that plays at an above-average pace. Given the unfamiliar shooting environment for both teams, this number just feels too high.
