Evansville Purple Aces vs Purdue Boilermakers Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 11/04/25

The Evansville Purple Aces hop in the bus north on I-69 to Indianapolis, before jumping on I-65 up to West Lafayette. When the Ohio Valley Conference team arrives, it will find the top-ranked team in the nation awaiting them. Evansville lost 21 games last season, going 15-16 against the spread (ATS), while the Under hit at an 18-13 pace. It made a similar trip last season, facing Ohio State of the Big Ten on Nov. 19, and it lost 80-30 as a 24.5-point underdog as the Under (149.5) cashed. In recent seasons, it has taken the Purple Aces quite a while to get started.

The Boilermakers will be neck-and-neck with Michigan at the top of the Big Ten this season, but first things first. It has these tune-up games to get into form. Trey Kaufman-Renn, Fletcher Loyer and Braden Smith are back, and that’s a lot of winning experience and leadership. That trio isn’t likely to break much of a sweat against the undersized and undermanned Purple Aces, and we should see the reserves play a lot in the second half, getting valuable hands-on experience. The concern here is that Purdue builds a giant lead, perhaps up to 40 points, before Evansville chips away to make it respectable, grabbing the backdoor cover.
