Southern Jaguars vs Baylor Bears Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 12/21/25

The Southern University Jaguars hit the road for the Ferrell Center in Waco, Texas to battle the Baylor Bears of the Big 12 conference. Southern has won just four games to date, but it has been pesky. It lost 100-82 at Marquette back on Nov. 5, but it was able to grab a cover as 25-point underdogs. And, on Nov. 18, the Jaguars took Washington to overtime as 21.5-point underdogs, eventually coming up short, 99-93. They also covered the past two games as an underdog at Texas State and Cal Baptist, so this is a battle-tested team which has seen adversity before. The Over is 6-2 in eight games on the road, while cashing in three of the past four away from home.

The Bears belted Alcorn State 113-56 last time out as a 35-point favorite, coming on the heels of a 30-point win in a cover against Norfolk State prior to that. Baylor has piled up the points, going for 91 or more points in four of the past five games, while the Over has cashed in seven of the past eight contests. The Over has cashed in each of the past four games on its home floor, too. Southern is among one of the worst defensive teams in the nation, allowing 88.0 PPG to rank 339th, and they’re allowed teams to hit 43.6% from the field, and 33.2% from behind the arc. Look for Baylor to flirt with triple digits, as this one goes well Over.
