UMass Lowell River Hawks vs Connecticut Huskies Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 11/07/25

The UMass Lowell River Hawks will travel to Hartford for a non-conference game against the UConn Huskies. This should be a lopsided affair in favor of the Huskies as the spread is currently at 33.5 points. UConn is coming off a 24-point victory over the newly division one New Haven Chargers on Monday night while UMass Lowell got their first win of the year against a division three team. The Huskies did not cover the spread in their season opener, but I expect them to bounce back here.

UConn is expected to be one of the best teams in all of college basketball for the fourth straight season. Last season was a disappointment compared to their prior two campaigns when they won the national championship, but they still made the NCAA Tournament. The non-conference slate did not go as planned last season for the Huskies, but they still covered the spread in 66.7 percent of their non-league matchups.

Dan Hurley and his UConn Huskies have Alex Karaban, Tarris Reed Jr., Solo Ball, and Jaylin Stewart all back for another year, giving them enough talent to be a national title contender once again. UMass Lowell is ranked a lousy #338 at Bart Torvik, so I do not see them being able to keep pace with this UConn team that is ranked #11. I expect UConn to play better than they did in their season opener and cover the big spread in this one. Take UConn -33.5.
