Villanova Wildcats vs Seton Hall Pirates Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 12/23/25

The Villanova Wildcats head to Newark for their Big East Conference opener against the Seton Hall Pirates. The Pirates were able to pick up a road win against Providence last time out, winning the league opener, cashing as a 1-point underdog against the Friars in a 72-67 victory over the weekend. For Seton Hall, Tajuan Simpkins paced the team with 22 points in the win in Providence, while Stephon Payne was a beast on the glass, going for 18 points on an efficient 8-of-10, while gathering 16 rebounds. The Pirates have won five in a row since losing in Maui to USC, the team’s only loss to date. It is 6-1 ATS in the past seven games, too.

Villanova posted an impressive 76-66 victory in overtime in Wisconsin in a neutral-floor battle at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee. The Wildcats have racked up nine victories in the past 10 tries, while going 4-1 ATS in the past five outings. The Under and Over have alternated in each of the 11 games to date. This is a very good conference matchup, and these two teams should be in the upper half of the league standings. Seton Hall is just playing better ball lately, and it is at home. Look for the Pirates to get the job done by at least a bucket.
