Houston Cougars vs Oregon State Beavers Prediction, Odds and Picks for Friday, 09/26/25

The Houston Cougars hit the road for the Pacific Northwest on Friday, looking to add to the woes of the Oregon State Beavers. Houston is coming off a 36-20 win last time out at home as a 4-point favorite on a Friday, and now they’ve had two full weeks to prepare for its first trip outside of the Lone Star State. Houston passed its first road test on Sept. 6, making the crosstown trek to rival Rice, thumping the Owls 35-9 as a 14-point favorite. The Cougars are 2-0 SU/ATS in two games as a double-digit favorite this season, as pounding Stephen F. Austin, a good FCS team, 27-0 in the opener.

The Beavers have been horrific in the first four offerings. They opened the season with a 34-15 win against Cal, and Oregon State’s closest shot at a win came in a 36-27 loss to Fresno State on Sept. 6. It managed to cover the spread last week against rival Oregon, but that was in a 41-7 avalanche, cashing as a 34-point underdog in Eugene. They’ve lost three of four games by at least 19 points, and they’re 0-3-1 ATS. The public is all over UH, and generally, it’s never good to side with the majority against the books. But, there is very little reason to trust in Oregon State right now.
