Indiana State Sycamores vs Indiana Hoosiers Prediction, Odds and Picks for Tomorrow, 09/12/25
Indiana State vs Indiana Pickswise Expert Predictions
The Indiana State Sycamores of FCS make the short trip from Terre Haute to Bloomington to take on the state’s big institution at The Rock. Indiana went to the College Football Playoff last season, and head coach Curt Cignetti’s team finds itself ranked inside the Top 25 yet again this season. Indiana State has racked up a pair of wins so far, topping a Division II team, McKendree University, while easing by Eastern Illinois last weekend by a 38-14 score, as QB Keegan Patterson threw a pair of touchdowns.
Indiana struggled against Old Dominion in the opener, winning just 27-14 as 23-point favorites, while the Under (53) cashed. It ironed things out last week against Kennesaw State, winning 56-9 as a 35.5-point favorite as the Over (51) cashed. Transfer portal addition QB Fernando Mendoza, who came in from Cal, threw 4 TDs while helping lead the Hoosiers to the rout. IU posted 593 total yards, while piling up 28 first downs, to just 10 for the Owls. Indiana forced two turnovers in the win, too. So far, it has used special teams, a solid passing offense and its experience from last season, helping get them off to a good start. It also helps that the schedule hasn’t been terribly challenging either. Expect the Hoosiers to roll up big numbers again on Friday night, but look for Indiana State to do just enough to grab a cover. This means a lot to them playing in state, and the Sycamores will come out with some fire.
Indiana State vs Indiana prediction: Indiana State +48.5 (-110) at time of publishing. Playable to +47.5.
