Miami Ohio vs Fresno State Pickswise Expert Predictions

Point Spread Pick
Fresno State Win -5.5(-110)

The Miami Redhawks hit the road for the Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl on Saturday afternoon as they take on the Fresno State Bulldogs on The CW Network. The Redhawks made it to the Mid-American Conference (MAC) championship game at Ford Field in Detroit on Dec. 6, but they lost 23-13 against Western Michigan. Miami looked a little disjointed on offense, as QB Thomas Gotkowski was just 7-of-17 for 92 yards, while QB Henry Hesson came on to complete 7-of-20 passes for 107 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. Somehow, WR Kam Perry still managed to go for 101 receiving yards on seven catches and 11 targets, while RB Jordan Brunson went for 59 rushing yards and a score.

The Redhawks lost Perry to the transfer portal, and he follows QB Dequan Finn out the door. Finn left the program before the regular season had even concluded. For Fresno State, there aren’t many notable portal moves, but S Jayden Davis will be missed in the secondary. He had 37 tackles, including a pair of TFLs. Fresno State should have a lot more fans in Tucson, mainly because of geographical proximity, although Miami fans might find it nice to get out of the cold, and into the heat of Arizona. Still, we’ll roll with Fresno State to get the job done, as Miami didn’t look very good last time out, especially on offense.

Fresno State -5.5 (-110) at time of publishing. Playable to -6.5.
