Penn State Nittany Lions vs UCLA Bruins Prediction, Odds and Picks for Saturday, 10/04/25
Penn State vs UCLA Pickswise Expert Predictions
The Penn State Nittany Lions are likely champing at the bit to get back on the field after falling to the Oregon Ducks in double-overtime in Happy Valley in a marquee battle last weekend. After facing the likes of Nevada, FIU and Villanova in the first three weekends, Penn State’s defense was mortal against an actual Power 4 contender. The Nittany Lions head into Saturday’s game at the Rose Bowl with an 0-4 against the spread (ATS) record, while the Over is 3-1 in four games to date, if you’re into Same-Game Parlay (SGPs) wagering.
UCLA has had a trying season already. The Bruins suffered a 43-10 loss at home against Utah in a Pac-12 reunion Aug. 30 before losing 30-23 at UNLV as a 1.5-point favorite on Sept. 6. It returned home on a Friday night to suffered an embarrassing 35-10 loss at home against New Mexico despite being a 16-point favorite. UCLA ended up firing head coach Deshaun Foster, a Bruins alum, officially throwing in the towel. Under interim coach Tim Skipper, UCLA put up a fight at Northwestern, falling 17-14 as a 6.5-point underdog as the Under (46) cashed. While the Bruins were more competitive last week, the Nittany Lions are going to be angry, starting quickly, while washing the bad taste out of the mouths with a whitewashing of the Bruins.
Penn State -24.5 (-110) at time of publishing. Playable to -26.5.
