San Jose State Spartans vs Stanford Cardinal Prediction, Odds and Picks for Tomorrow, 09/27/25

The San Jose State Spartans take the short trip up the 101, or 280, depending upon traffic, from its campus to Stanford Stadium for a Bay Area battle. The Spartans picked up their first victory of the season last week against Idaho, 31-28. Before you scoff at the 3-point win over an FCS team, know that the Vandals are No. 8 in the FCS top-25 rankings, so they’re no slouch. In San Jose State’s only previous road game, it lost 38-7 to Texas, but it covered a 37-point spread. The defense has allowed 33.0 PPG in the past two games, so that’s a concern heading to Stanford.

The schedule maker hasn’t been kind to the Cardinal, as three of the first four games have been on the road. It lost 48-20 at Virginia last week, and Stanford has allowed at least 20 points in all four games, cashing the Over in the past two. It is tempting to go with the Over based on the defenses of these two sides lately. However, take Stanford laying the little bit of points, as it won its only previous home game 30-20 as a 14-point underdog against a decent Boston College team on Sept. 13.
