UMass Minutemen vs Akron Zips Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 11/04/25

The UMass Minutemen hit the road for InfoCision Stadium in Akron right off of Ohio Route 8, taking on the Zips in a mid-week MAC game. UMass is perfect on the season, but not in a good way. It has lost all eight games, while going a dismal 2-6 against the spread (ATS). UMass did put up a fight two weeks ago against Buffalo, falling just 28-21, but it had its doors blown off at Central Michigan last time out in a 38-13 loss as a 16.5-point underdog. It also lost 42-6 at Kent State on Oct. 11 in its most recent trip to Northeast Ohio, and ht is 0-4 SU and 1-3 ATS in four games on the road this season, losing each game by at least 25 points. UMass has averaged just 8.0 PPG in those four road games, while allowing at least 38 points in each of the outings.

UMass has a terrible offense, averaging just 254.0 total yards, while giving up 438.6 total yards, 256.1 passing yards, 182.5 rushing yards and 35.9 PPG on the season. The Minutemen will have a difficult time shutting down the Zips, especially RB Jordan Gant, who has posted 697 yards and 4.9 yards per carry with three touchdowns, while adding a receiving touchdown. Akron is 3-6 SU, while going 4-3 ATS in the past seven outings. It’s on the rebound, showing signs of life, and that’s a lot more than the Minutemen have given.
