UNLV Rebels vs Wyoming Cowboys Prediction, Odds and Picks for Saturday, 10/04/25
UNLV vs Wyoming Pickswise Expert Predictions
The UNLV Rebels hit the road for Laramie, and the first Mountain West Conference game for the Rebels and coach Dan Mullen. After a subpar effort against FCS Idaho State in the opener, winning just 38-31, the Rebels have picked up the pace. They routed Sam Houston State 38-21 on the road, before topping UCLA 30-23 at home as a 1.5-point underdog. Last week, after a bye, UNLV hit to road for Miami (Ohio), engineering a comeback in a 41-38 win and cover as a 1.5-point favorite as the Over (49.5) easily came through. The defense is a bit of a concern for UNLV, but the offense, led by QB Anthony Colandrea, has more than enough firepower to overcome the deficiencies of the defense.
For Wyoming, the offense has been a bit shaky this season. While the Cowboys have split four games, going 2-2, those victories came against Akron in a 10-0 road win, and against FCS Northern Iowa. Against two Power 4 teams, Wyoming was beaten 31-6 by Utah, and 37-20 at Colorado last time out, failing to cover either outing. In addition, that’s a losing margin of 21.0 points per game (PPG). The Cowboys defense should struggle with Colandrea and the high-octane UNLV offense, and even with the struggles of the Rebels on defense, Wyoming doesn’t have the firepower to get involved in a shootout.
UNLV -3.5 (-110) at time of publishing. Playable to -5.5.
